NASA GRC WordPress Users Guide Theme Updated
Since the launch of the NASA GRC WordPress Users Guide in August of 2007 by fellow NASA contractor Josh Glemza and I in August of 2007, there have been many changes in WordPress and new developments in making web publishing effortless. After months of investigation, we have developed a “child” theme to use with the WordPress framework Genesis, which is developed by StudioPress. The graphic design layout was built to match the most recent and sanctioned NASA CSS “affinity” design.
The key reasons have to do with the overall simple elegance of using the theme, notably:
- Search engine optimized HTML
- Easy to customize one, two or three column layouts on a per-page basis
- Great organization of elements and CSS.
- Excellent support area
The move was further done to save time on future updates, leaving more time for the inevitable increased workload.
